Cook; How to cook absolutely everything: How to Cook Absolutely Everything ( " Australian Women's Weekly " ) by Susan Tomnay
Fairly useful book, I mostly use it for sweet things. The title overstates it's comprehensiveness, I have other cookbooks I use much more often such as the Margaret Fulton Cookbook and The Best of the Australian Women's Weekly.
Lots of information in the encyclopedia part which is a running sidebar throughout the book. Has some good recipes and unusual ones (marinated baby octupus salad, for example). The photos are very good.
The Italian cuisine happens to be one of my favorite cuisines and I suspect it's an international favorite worldwide. The recipes here are traditional and a crowdpleaser. Mouthwatering and healthy.
