A cool thing to own for any wrestling fan, but The Way to Live is far more than just a collectible curiosity as it's filled with invaluable advice for anyone interested in physical culture- and having had one of the most well-developed bodies of his day, Hack knows whereof he speaks. Interestingly, he advocates daily training as opposed to the infrequent training that's all the rage these days; he also makes reference to "knocking oneself up," which is really, really funny! The book is show more rounded out by a sort of autobiography-in-brief in which Hackenschmidt gives his thoughts on past matches; an interesting addition, but disappointingly (though not unexpectedly) he glosses right over the legendary encounter with Gotch. show less
