A brilliant account of Dr Wiss's tour in Afghanistan, from the front line perspective. This book is a must read for any Canadian who doesn't understand why we were there, or what we did. Actually, everyone should read this account of life and death on the front lines.
This book picks up after his first account, and follows the Captains 2nd combat tour in Afghanistan. Every bit as good as the first book, this is written by a doctor who spent his tour on the front lines, actually going on patrol with the troops.
Excellent book, on several levels. Necessary for a better understanding of the Canadian Army engagement in Afghanistan.
