Wrath is positive he will never be able to be with a woman again, not after the perverts of Mercile used their masturbation machine to rape him while forcing him to watch naked women play with themselves to steal his sperm to sell. He hasn’t been free long enough to shake those memories and when he meets his Lauren he wants her so bad he can taste it but his fear of hurting her because of his flash back prevents him from claiming her.

While having dinner with her best friend, Lauren show more receives a call from her boss, ordering her to show a property. She wants to make rent so she goes and what thanks does she get? She gets nabbed by New Species who thinking she is boinking one of her co-workers whom she happens to think is lower than pond scum only nobody believes her right away but she is more than willing to help them capture her scumbag co-worker, especially since is gives her more time to spend with Wrath, the damaged New Species that makes her heart pound and her blood boil with his touch.

Laurann Dohner rocks it out again with Wrath and the word she has created with her New Species series which is my new all-time favorite. Damn the oral sex though not totally graphic was steaming up my tablet so bad I thought it would need to be stuck in the freezer since a cold shower would ruin it. Laurens abduction thought terrifying had some seriously funny moments thanks to her quick wit and smart ass mouth. Of course there is the awesomely amazing best friend Amanda who comes a crossed as desperate but who really just wants a solid loving relationship and I hope she gets it. I really thought it was cool how Shadow would explain things to Lauren when Wrath was too emotional to express himself and then there is the more serious part of this story and that is the repercussion on what happened to Wrath that has him concerned for Laurens safety and watching the struggle he goes through as gets closer to her is sweet and amazing to read.

I want to say for the record that I love this book and will probably read it for a third time at a later date but even though it is a five-star book in my opinion the edits yet again have dropped the rating but thankfully only but one star.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the GarLycan twins since Aveoth, and Fray has been my favorite with his easygoing and hilarious personality. This book gives us more of Fray, which I loved.

The premise in Fray is intense and engaging—gargoyles kidnapping human women to breed a colony. It’s creepy in the best way, and Dohner does a great job of making you love to hate these villains. I also appreciate how she jumps right into the action without wasting time on info dumps, which always show more hooks me right away. The world-building in this series is top-notch, and I always enjoy diving back into it.
Most of the book focuses on dealing with the evil gargoyles, and while that added some tension, it took away from the romantic development that I was really looking forward to.

Reread. Just as fun the second time. I wish LD would get back to this series as it is my favorite.

The fifth installment in the Cyborg Seduction series is a winner. This is the story of Coal who had been kept as a breeding slave by a planet full of Cyborg women. When he finally gets free, he sacrifices himself for another cyborg male and his woman. Coal ends up back in the hands of human traders who plan to sell him to a cage fighting planet to fight until he dies. Jill, a human woman who is show more making a living on the edge of the blackmarket with only a couple of droids for company, rescues him. Jill has an unpleasant history with sex as does Coal but he at least knows that it can be a pleasant experience. She had an abusive ex husband and so wants nothing to do with sex. Coal decides that since she has saved him he will fix up her shuttle for her and also fix up her sexual hangups while he’s at it. Eventually, these two broken people fix each other up and fall in love.

There was good honest emotion here. The heroines of these stories keep getting better and better. They are strong women who have the compassion and openmindedness to fall in love with cyborgs who most humans either despise or fear. The characterization of both the hero and heroine are deep and well developed. Coal is damaged and he knows it. He worries about being a good enough man for Jill. I like that the two of them cleave to each other. They don’t doubt once they have declared their feelings. When Jill is kidnapped, she knows he will come for her and he knows that even if it seems that way, she did not leave him willingly. No silly misunderstandings just a sweet love story.

Good sci fi romance. Looks like the next one will be Councilman Zorus. Boy, he’s been a bad bad cyborg throughout the series. Can’t wait to see how Ms. Dohner turns him around. show less

Action Packed space Adventure.

One of my favourite installments to the cyborg seduction series so far, had seducing stag on pre-order after the previous book and Stag's very vocal distaste towards humans i was interested in seeing how things would pan out for him and it didn't disappoint, I think Stag really found his match in the plucky, feisty Nala, loved how she didn't let Stag get away with any of his crap, this book was action packed from start to finish was a big old rollercoaster, a show more fun filled ride, a great addition. show less
