this is not your ordinary reiki book. Mari Hall describes 10 doorways to inner peace and self/soul development and provides exercises and thinking points for each. her being is reiki, but the book focuses on these various doorways and conversations including ourselves, our parents, extended family, work and play, friends and friendship, relationships, love, maturity, home and transformation and inner peace. it's a remarkable text for a look at development of the self/soul - my version is show more hardcover, so it's not inviting to actually write in! show less

Mari Hall is an important reiki master who has taught widely and spread the good word about reiki over the years. This is a 101 book with lots of hand positions (and the traditional story) as well as much material on crystals and chakras. I think other volumes have updated history

a beautiful hard cover book that's well-illustrated and printed with a lot of colour and good layout. It's really a manual for mostly first level, although Mari touches on second level as well - there are specific hand positions for specific ailments, lots of information on chakras and endocrine system. likely outdone by other current works - she does tell of how she ended up in the Czech republic teaching.
