During a kindergarten unit on the human body, I read the book I WONDER WHY I BLINK. My students love this concept book. The author answers some very interesting questions about the body that many students wonder about and rarely get the answer to. The book is very kid-friendly. My students love the pictures and diagrams that help explain the information on the pages. The author does not include research or qualifications for writing the book, so the accuracy is questionable. However, many show more students are not looking for research. I appreciate this book's attempt at giving students a shallow understanding at some of our body functions. This book is one of many in a series that give students an elementary education about different topics. This book being about body functions, it talks about blinking and other daily activities our bodies do. There is no moral, but many pieces of information a 3rd or 4th grader can get from this informational book.

In a question and answer format addresses basic physiology, such as why one has bones, why one needs food, and how the body grows.
