I am sure people see Hardings modest booklets,and feel they are too slight for them.But they are little works of art,full of detail,and good illustration,and convey a sense of the oddity the describe.This line was built to thwart the GWR,so plenty to commend it ,had little traffic,but came into its own in wartime when the forest it skirted became an enormous petrol dump, which was hauled in and out over our branch.Still plenty of evidence of its existence on the ground.
