This really is a gem of a map. Published in the same format and size as UK Ordnance Survey maps, this 1:2500 map of the City of London in 1520 helps to paint a picture of the capital of England just a decade or so before the English Reformation, when change would have been massive. London in 1520 had a population of some 50,000 and was both the economic hub and chief port of England.
