Push Dick's Button: A Conversation on Skating from a Good Part of the Last Century--and a Little Tomfoolery by Dick Button
An absolutely delightful, conversational book penned by one of the sport's biggest legends. Appreciate this book for what it is rather than bemoan what it isn't and you'll enjoy it so, so much.
A 1960s instructional figure skating book by the late, great 2X Olympic Gold Medallist Dick Button. Written for beginners, this book covers everything from picking the right pair of skates to edges, figures and basic jumps and spins. A lot may have changed in the sport since Dick wrote this book, but there is still a lot that skaters today can learn from it.
