Kindof a goofy premise - hiding out during a hurricane and trying to write her novel, getting caught up in the disappearance of a local man. I liked watching the main character explore and try to come to terms with the events of her life.
½
An exploration of the evolving nature of friendship, particularly after the shared experience of seeing a boy in their school die. I enjoyed this novel, particularly the different points of view.
½
A story about three women linked by an event that happened while they were in high school. I found the story of one of them particularly compelling, the other two not so much. The connection between them was tenuous, really, and seemed a little contrived. A first novel -- I'd give her another chance.
This book will be more popular with our faculty than students. The main character is 27 years old and is facing problems that won't seem relavant to the average high school reader.
