Good, Clean Murder is a cozy mystery with a new adult twist. Filled with a few crazy characters, an earnest Bible student/house cleaner/amateur sleuth, and an integral faith message, Traci Tyne Hilton’s novel will appeal to those who like cozies.

Jane Adler is a Bible school student trying to find her place of service. Her world is a bit out of control, but she has faith that God will direct her course. But discovering two dead bodies just adds to the upheaval that faces her. Evicted from show more her apartment, involved with a new romantic interest, and the discovery that her Bible school education doesn’t matter, Jane has to face her decisions with a critical eye.

While I enjoyed the mystery, it was Jane’s struggle with pleasing man, herself and God that I found kept me turning the pages. While Jane desires to serve God on the mission field, she has to face whether she is motivated by God’s love or pride in her pursuit of her dream. Overall, I liked Good, Clean Murder and look forward to more in this series.

Recommended.

Actually bought this a while ago, but it got lost in the to-be-read pile.
Interesting little mystery, speedy plot, but main character is disappointing. For someone who is paying out big money to go to private college to learn to be a missionary, she seems to have little sense and less adaptive skills.
The saving points of this Whispersync-on-the-cheap deal was the performance by narrator Rebecca Roberts. I honestly can't say if I would have finished it as a print or ebook, but her voice show more interpretation caused me to want to listen to the end. show less
I was given an ARC of this book and didn't know what to expect. All I can say is "wow"! The main character Maura is facing her worst nightmare; a cheating pastor-spouse. To try to occupy her time and not focus on what is happening in her personal life, she is hired as a private investigator in a case that involves the Old Testament and unknowingly her spouse.

What I love most about this book was the author’s depiction of Maura. The character was faced with having to look at all she show more believes (believed) in, find the strength to persevere, determine who/what she could put her trust in, and work to uncover the reasons why a beloved individual was murdered.

I found that I could not put the book down and am happy to hear that this is just the first in a new series.

Sharper than her previous series and truly enthralling, this is a book that will hold your interest from page one.

I really liked the protagonist, Maura, and enjoyed her inner dialogues a lot. The storyline is well constructed, and the writing excellent. A book you shouldn't miss and an author to keep an eye on.

I received a free book but I am freely writing this review.
