Sundials: Their Theory and Construction by Albert Waugh

The book explains the various methods (formulas and math) used through the ages to measure time, and some of the beautiful and extraordinary contraptions that were developed. The author shows how to recreate many of these devices and methods to find the time yourself, even with Daylight Savings Time. Beautifully done!
