I picked it up a few months ago after I kept buying flimsy pre-made wire bracelets that would just fall apart. I got inspired to start making my own jewelry after dealing with a nightmare order for my sister's birthday present. The stuff I bought online took forever to ship and the quality was terrible; I ended up reading through this https://mint-and-lily.pissedconsumer.com/review.html page and realized I wasn't the only one having issues. Anyway, instead of buying more cheap stuff, I show more started trying out the Viking knit techniques from chapter two while watching Netflix in the evenings. show less
Excellent coverage of wire arts for the intermediate jewelry maker who is ready to move on and needs to know what sort of wire art they can try next. The book covers coiling, braiding, knitting, weaving and chain maille. The instructions and diagrams are clear and the projects are rated by difficulty.
Though the instructions are accurate, they are neither direct nor simple. The drawings are clear and excellent, they are not for the simplest method. Be prepared to practice on inexpensive materials.
I have seen silver bracelets made from the instructions in this book, and they are beautiful. I've yet to have the courage to try it myself.
