A (for its time) reasonably realistic depiction of the first manned flight to the moon. Henner has been careful to at least sound as if he's read up on the latest science of the day, and has also made some attempts at making the flight problematic. (Although zero G was soon proven not to be anywhere near as distressing as Henner thought.)

Unfortunately, while it's not a bad novel for being Swedish SF from the mid-50s, it's not, on the whole, a very good one either. The attempts at giving the show more characters some depth just make them annoying, the rocket ship is ridiculously unsafe to create more dramatic situations, the romantic element is as clichéd as anything, and despite being written in Swedish it reads like a mediocre translation from English.

My verdict is that Henner's juveniles from around the same time are far more enjoyable.
