Not at all what I expected. I thought it was going to be a little guide to getting used to college life for the new freshman (me!), but instead I found a silly, slightly weird, fill-in-the-blanks gift book that I am supposed to fill out and give to my best friend. Flipping through the pages, examining the blank options, and reading the few words actually provided by the book, I never once was motivated to pick up a pen. All I could think of the entire time was how I would NEVER give this to show more my best friend - why would I? We don't need fill-in-the-blanks to remember our inside jokes or favorite TV shows. An interesting idea, I guess, but I don't think it was carried out very effectively and I can't see any fellow members of my graduating class really liking it, either. show less
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. An oddly impersonal fill-in book that's meant to be an intimate gift between friends. Some of the pages have some cute ideas, but it would be a much better gift if someone were to use the ideas in a handmade scrapbook rather than a fill-in book. Some of the pages seemed a little ridiculous... like I seriously doubt anyone would check this book for the number of their favorite Chinese delivery place. And there's just something very weird about seeing a page that says "Our inside jokes:" and show more then room for you to list them. Who would fill this out? show less

Snarky goodness. A super quick read, and it doesn't matter if you're a huge fan of the movies mentioned or if you've never heard of them. Will definitely book talk this for summer reading visits.
This would have been a great gift when I was going off to college 5 years ago. A very cute fill-in the pages book for memories and advice for girls going off to college/embarking on the next adventure after college. While this would be a great gift, it's not something I would buy for a library due to the fill-in nature of the book. Something good to keep in mind for people looking for graduation gifts!
