I stumbled upon this book the day after seeing A Murder of Crows (fascinating creatures). So many poems filled with grief and despair, beautifully, tenderly composed. The very last words of the volume - "with a blind, improbable joy." at least leave one with some hope. I prefer to own poetry books so I can turn down the pages of my favorite poems, in this volume, more pages have dog ears than don't.
