Overall this book would be good for students who are in grades second and third. This book has a fair amount of text and good vocab words. These can be used to teach the students the vocab in the book as there is very little plot but a lot of information. This book could also be a good book for students to use as a reference if they were doing a project.
Review: I thought this book was an important book that my students should read because it had great ideas and taught them how they could garden. I think it would be AWESOME to read this book to the students and then end up being able to have a small classroom garden outside. The students would love it. I understand its not very realistic but it would allow the students to apply their knowledge. I think this book would be fun to have in my classroom library and make sure it is available to my show more students. I think books are great but I really like the books that teach the students more. This book does a nice job of separating the information out which helps the students organize all the information. This book also promotes students gardening by the picture they use and I think it helps give the students courage to see that if those kids in the book can garden then I want to.

Summary: The book is about organic gardening and it really touches base with how it helps the world be cleaner. It goes step by step how to have your one organic garden and what you need. It talks about how the garden grows and how insects help. It then talks about the maintenance of a garden and how to properly take care of it. At the end if then shows the benefit of having a garden and the amazing food you get to eat.

This is a great example of an informational book because it gives true and accurate information about how to be an organic gardener and the benefits of it. I like this book because of the photographs that go along with it to tell the story., which is the media
If I was to have a classroom garden I would read this book out loud. This book talks about what it means to be an organic farmer and gives us helpful tips on how to get started on our very own garden. This book made me miss working on the watermelon farms!
