Lars Klinting (1948–2006)

This book had so much more than I expected. While it is a cute story about a beaver who needs a new apron, it also takes the reader through the process of creating one! And a pattern is included at the back. This may sound boring, but it's not. My son loved this book.

It's simple text and wonderful illustration. Every page lets kids guess what the next page is. Kids can imagine and make connection with their real life.

The oven has a glass window and a light so they can watch the cake bake. Pretty soon the kitchen is warm and cozy.

No, I'd say their kitchen has been warm and cozy all along. These are the cutest beavers you ever watched bake a cake from start to finish. At the back of the book is the recipe (in American measurements), which my daughters have tested and pronounced yummy.
