Interesting and inspiring read, but might be really confusing if you don't have taste of zen training. Not laying down for three years, serving others, and meditating all the nights is not for everyone. Maura O'Halloran was one tough girl.
The diary and correspondence of a promising young Zen nun whose life was cut short by a tragic accident. Reading this, one is struck by Maura's honesty, bravery, and humour. An essential read for Zen practitioners.
Review From LibraryThing:
Beautiful work. You really feel that are with her as she goes through her day to day life. I was so sorry when the book ended. Kudos to the publisher for the layout of the book. This is a zen sleeper that everyone should read
