Born Eliza Roxcy Snow. "Roxey" is a common misspelling of her middle name. Married to Joseph Smith in 1842 and to Brigham Young after Smith's death in 1844. She kept the last name Snow until after Young's death in 1877, when she claimed the last name Smith. Her grave marker reads "Eliza R. Snow Smith."
