Henry Dimbleby

If you know me, then you know that I love to buy/use cookbooks written by restaurants/bakeries. This was purchased as such, but I will probably never make use of it. The recipes are idiotically simple, I don't think you need a recipe for most. However, it's one of the most beautifully designed books I've ever seen. Quite quirky and special.

Thorough treatment of our problems with diet and secondarily with warming. But primarily about the junk food cycle which we have got ourselves into.
Seems to take on board as many different views as possible but firmly comes down on the need for some sort of legislative help for us to break free from the harm being done by our current diet.
Meat is par of the problem and he talks about possible substitutes and ways to minimise the damage, and humanise farming too. There a grim description of show more a slaughterhouse in the book.
