I’m not usually much of a fan of self-help books; okay, I’ll be honest: I despise them and I think they are the armpit of modern literature. That said, this one wasn’t too bad. Of course, it has the typical cheesiness and the appeal to the lowest common denominator. However, the author did provide me some decent tips to enhance my learning experiences and help myself continue to pay attention and absorb information. I’m not disappointed that I read this book, but I certainly would show more not have read had it not been required of me to do so. show less
I had to read this book for a class I was taking for online learning for AMU (American Military University). Though the subject matter is presented in what the author thinks is an entertaining and down to earth way, I fould nothing I didn't already know in the book. The author really does not provide terribly specific suggestions. However, if you want to know your learning/attention/activity styles, go for it, but, like most people, you probably already know how to pay attention and stay show more focused without the "help" of this book. It's a rediculous waste of money and time, believe me. show less
