I liked that Hanna was unusual. She dresses how she wants and not how society expects her to and keeps using her bike in a world where teleport cabins have taken over as the only mean of transportation. She has a brain of her own and doesn’t follow the masses just because everybody else does. This is what makes her realise that there is something creepy about the company Tempus Fugit and that the plague is caused by people.

Something that show more I didn’t like so much is that I found the book to be quite predictable and very direct, with little room for twists and red herrings. However, this is what makes it so fast-paced, so it’s not too bad. Also, things are solved very quickly and the characters don’t have to think too much about them. There’s never a real sense of danger or worry. The only real plot twist is one that is part of the open ending. After I finished the book, I looked to see if there was a sequel -there isn’t-, because even though the book has an ending, there are some things left unsolved.

All in all, not a bad book and one that I enjoyed reading.

Me gustó que Hanna fuera diferente a los demás. Se viste como ella quiere y no como el resto de la sociedad espera que lo haga y sigue usando su bici en un mundo en el que las cabinas de teleporte se han erigido como el único medio de transporte. Tiene un cerebro propio y no sigue a las masas sólo porque todo el mundo lo haga. Esto es lo que hace que se dé cuenta de que hay algo siniestro en la empresa Tempus Fugit y que la plaga la están causando personas.

Algo que no me gustó tanto es que encontré el libro bastante predecible y muy directo, lo que no deja espacio para giros inesperados y pistas falsas. Sin embargo, esto es lo que hace que el libro sea tan rápido, así que no es del todo malo. Además, todo se soluciona muy rápido y los personajes no tienen que pensar mucho. No llega a haber un sentimiento más real de peligro más de preocupación.. El único giro inesperado que hay forma parte del final abierto. Tras terminar el libro, miré si había una segund parte -no la hay-, porque aunque sí hay un final, se quedan cosas sin resolver.

En general no es un mal libro y disfruté leyéndolo. show less
