Originally written in 1955, Bible Stories for School and Home contains 102 Bible stories that were used teaching children in Lutheran schools. It was written at the third grade level and each story had a colorful illustration. Also included at the end is subject glossary that explains times as used in the Bible, as well as Bible weights, measurements and money. One Nation Under God: Prayer in a Time of National Uncertainty published jointly by Northwestern Publishing House and WELS Communication Services Commission was written during a time of National Crisis after 9/11, however it is just as pertinent today. There are just 24 short prayers in this book asking God for courage, compassion, patience, for guidance for governmental and military leaders, etc.

Bible Stories for Lutheran Sunday Schools is an actual Sunday School pamphlet that was used in 1946 to teach children in the Junior grades. This particular one contains stories from the Lenten season starting with Lazarus being raised and Christ entry into Jerusalem. Each lesson contains the story, Main ideas from the lesson, and Memory verses from the Bible and catechism. It is found on the library shelves under the number for Lent, 232.96/NOR.

Days of trial and tribulation are no strangers to God's people today. They turn to God in prayer seeking His help, his promised deliverance & comfort. Each volume contains 100 devotions based on texts from Gospels, Epistles etc.
