This offers a fairly traditional view of the Bayeux tapestry and the events it depicts, with a lot of description and quotes from the main sources and not much analysis of those sources or of wider events. Where it excels though is in its full reproduction of the entire embroidery at one sixth scale, which makes it large enough to see detail, without the book being too large.
