In this book for emergent readers the author brings us a multitude of gorgeous real life pictures of the sun and all the things it is essential for. This book makes use of enlarged pictures with enlarged though minimal text which makes it a perfect book for preschool and beginners. Even students who can not yet read would enjoy to simply flip through to look at the pictures. The last two pages are dedicated to more in-depth descriptions of the actions occurring in each picture so that an show more adult can read give the child some more information. show less
The simple, repetitive Social Studies text, written for emergent readers, provides a basic narrative for a series of stunning photographs of various topographies and landscapes found throughout our country.

Following the narrative, a short section provides rudimentary facts on each of the natural features, giving the reader information necessary for furthering their understanding of each topographical component.
This picture book shows the games children can play as well as actual children at play. It has one single short sentence per page and is easy for young readers to understand. The illustrations feature photos of children in many cultures around the world, showing their love of play.
This book will teach young children about the sun's job to light and warm the earth. This would be a great read for first grade students who are struggling to read.
