A vapid, swinging hippie couple are invited by a beautiful, mysterious, seductive woman to her Mojave desert hideaway for a weekend of dubious shenanigans. Artfully directed by Stephanie Rothman who squeezes in plenty of mysticism and eroticism over a dreamlike atmosphere. A set of actual dream sequences, which are overlaid by some nice quasi-psych noodlings, are particularly impressive. Daniel Lacambre provides some nice sun-baked cinematography while the beautiful Celeste Yarnall provides show more an evocative and first class performance as the "velvet vampire". show less
