Introducing Orchids by Wilma Rittershausen
A beautifully illustrated guide, suitable for beginners and enthusiastic long-term amateurs alike. There is information not only on species but also getting started in the world of orchids, orchid care and trouble-shooting. My only complaint is that it is geared towards temperate/cold climates, but that is probably where the largest market share of hobby orchid growers are.
