This is a gorgeous little book that could serve quite well as a gift. The photos are eye-catching, delectable, and frequent. The recipe layout is clean, simple, and easy to read. Directions are easy to follow, and there are no unnecessarily complex recipes in here.
The book starts off with a modest amount of information aimed at helping you to produce a wonderful cup of coffee. This is followed by instructions for the basic coffee drinks that everyone loves. However, the book swiftly moves on show more to the recipes you won't find in every other book.
'Coffee' includes recipes for new and different coffee drinks (one of my favorites is a coffee-based ice cream soda), tidbits to enjoy with your coffee (such as a fantastic pastry to dip in your coffee that's easily assembled from a sheet of puff pastry and some crystallized ginger), and coffee-flavored treats. We made an ice cream recipe from this book that was out of this world. If you're feeling adventurous you could make a coffee-flavored cake with coffee-toffee icing, or you could keep things simple (yet impressive) with coffee caramels. Every recipe we tried came out beautifully, and the directions were detailed and easy to follow.

Now this one had a very good selection of soups. Plus variety of how to's and shortcut substitutions. Not shy of spices, herbs and seasonal garden goodies including root vegetables. Doesn't think every soup has to be puréed.
I may be a little prejudiced because author is as fond of using leeks in soup as I am

If you love one-dish meals, this cookbook is for you. The photography in this book is beautiful and elevates the humble casserole from everyday dining to haute cuisine. I found all of the recipes easy to follow, and the first chapter contains useful tips and tricks for creating the perfect casserole. I have already made several of the recipes, and my favorite is Leila's Venetian Chicken with Porcini Mushrooms and Fontina. All the recipes contain numerous healthy vegetables, and many are in show more fact vegetarian. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for convenience or wanting to find tasty ways to eat more vegetables.

This book has some yummy soups in it but didn't impress me as much as her other cookbooks.
