Hairy Bikers

This is one of those handy cookbooks that has recipes that you can use & adapt (some of them all ready adapted, the double cooked chips for example). Most of it is straight forward, no weird ingredients or high falutin' techniques here. On the whole a good basic cook book with plenty of stuff. My only complaint is the Index is slightly odd being organized mainly by lead ingredient.

Still there is a working crumpet recipe in there and for some (me) that makes it worth owning

Real recipes from members of the public visited by the Hairy Bikers for their TV show. Lots of new ideas - the Texas Cornbread is good, with meat and cheese, making it a meal rather than the more usual accompaniment. A good range of food from other cultures, as well as British.

Loving this book. Have so far tried several recipes from it, all delicious.
