The nursery rhyme Three Blind Mice is age appropriate for pre-k to kindergarten. This is a delightful capturing of an old favorite nursery rhyme. The font is not large while the illustrations are colorful and realistically rendered. The selection I picked was Three Blind Mice. The selection also has a familiar tune that is associated with the rhyme. It will be familiar to some in the class and will become a favorite of the others who do not know it. Mice not being noted as having the best show more vision are blind and are madly running around a hysterical woman. There is action and violence with the farmer’s wife who evidently is not as fast with a butcher’s knife as she would like. This would be a funny image or terrifying if you’re the mouse. Target words from the selection and have the children create other rhyming words. Have the children learn the song. show less
