I only have a small family, and now that I am in my forties, that is likely always to be the case. But I found this book to be super helpful, no matter the size of your family, with its day-by-day scheduling - Monday for laundry, Thursday for errands, and so on, that appeals to the little girl in me that loved Little Cabin in the Big Woods. Sometimes the hardest part of household things is getting started, and having many set schedules, as this book provides, gives you the needed impetus to show more get things done. I liked the vision that it gave me as I read it - surrounded by a large loving family, and making life just a little better for all of them through my part in it. This is possible whether you have three people in your family, as I did, or twelve, or even if it's just you. I wish it were easier to find copies of this book. It's a good one. show less
Wonderful book! A good read with a wealth of good tips that you can start implementing right away. Very useful for everyone who needs help organizing the household affairs of a family. I am sure it will come in handy too when our girls are old enough to not just help in the home, but reflect on household management too. I also appreciate how the author leans on Scripture to support her approach.
