What an amazing story. Second chances always fascinate me, and this one was more heart-rending and fascinating than most. I was in tears a third into the book, thinking that this couldn't end well. But it's a Christmas story, right? So I read on. Next I was about to throw it against the wall in disgust - because it looked pretty bleak. And it got a lot worse before it got better.

The recovery at the end was brilliant. I found myself wishing it could be like this for more people. A truly happy show more end, once the main character had learned his lesson. Bravo! show less
I absolutely loved this story! I hadn't read the blurb beforehand, so it was a completely delightful surprise.

Talvi, or the god of winter, is slightly bitter about the ungrateful humans. When he catches sight of the one man who truly loves him, he realizes that he never wants to be without him. Blake is very special, and even though the entire story is told from Talvi's point of view, the love he has for Talvi is very clear. I loved how both of them are so devoted to each other.

K.R. Foster show more packs just enough world building into only 24 pages to make me want to read more about these "weather gods". I also hope there will be more about Talvi and Blake! This is a great read with lots of emotional depth. show less
This book is not for the faint of heart with all the romances being between 2 guys otherwise known as a m/m romance. I did find most of the stories enjoyable and some funny/others emotionally touching. There are 14 pirate stories to tickle your fantasy if you enjoy this genre'. I have recently stumbled upon this genre' and have found it to be a new favorite of mine. What could be better than pirates on the high seas in historical romances that truthfully show the goings on behind the scenes show more with some of the most notable pirates of history. show less
A good mix of stories in the anthology. Some were really good, and some were not exactly to my taste. But overall pretty interesting.
