Save The Date by Mallory Kaas is a fun quirky romcom. There is just so much going on but there is also so much to love about this book- I enjoyed reading it and laughed out loud.
Save The Date invites you to witness three women at the intersection of heartbreak, hope, and forgiveness. Kass weaves together witty banter and vulnerable moments, exploring how love is shaped by secrets, longing, and the messy realness of human connection.
The setting: On Sandpaper Island , you are at a very high show more luxury wedding at a resort and everyone has something going on. It gives the chaos of Cheaper by the Dozen meets Lampoon Family Vacation meets the Wedding People. (IMO)
Marigold is getting married. Olivia is her lawyer sister. Natalie is the maid of honor. Full of lies and secrets this book was one fun ride. Marigold (The Bride): Charming and quick-witted beneath her It-girl veneer, Marigold wants to prove she’s more than everyone’s assumptions—but a secret from her past could upend everything she’s tried to build.
Natalie (The Maid of Honor): Steadfast and quietly yearning, Natalie has always put others first, even if it means hiding her feelings for the groom—until her own happiness demands to be heard.
Olivia (The Sister): Relentlessly capable but rarely vulnerable, Olivia is determined to stage the perfect weekend for her family, even if she has to navigate her own unexpected feelings for the best man.
I don't want to give anything away but between Marigold's secret that could possibly STOP their wedding, Natalie being in love with the groom for over 10 years, and Olivia crushing on the wrong guy; what could possibly happen?
The characters are forced to rethink what it means to choose love—and themselves—when perfection slips just out of reach. If you crave storytelling that embraces both the humor and vulnerability of modern romance.

"Save the Date" by Mallory Kass
My Review:
'Save the Date' was a beautifully told romantic comedy, funny, full of heart, and full of chaos. The three main characters give us much, being about family and friends, and the story gives the reader a sense of realism, plenty of humor, and the messiness that came with it, along with the hurt, chaos, and love.
'Save the Date' was a good novel to show more pick up and read. The reader will get a lot from all that goes on in this well-written story. show less

The way the authors of this series blend fact with fiction is absolutely astounding to me. I feel compelled to look up every little "fact" stated to see if it's true or simply part of the Cahill canon, but I stop myself because I REFUSE to destroy the temporary suspension of disbelief with this series (at least until I've finished it).

Contemporary romance.
A wedding weekend changes the lives for three women: the bride, the bride’s sister and the maid of honor.
Matilda is excited to marry Jonathan. A doctor. A man who loves her. But a last minute paperwork detail needs to be taken care of before she can get married. She needs to find her current husband in Canada and ask him to sign divorce papers.
Olivia is the bride’s sister. She’s happy for Matilda but so tired of cleaning up after show more her. Her parents haven’t told Matilda some health news and on top of it all, her own date cancels. Should she take Zack up on his offer of faking a relationship? It might be easier to get through the weekend that way.
Natalie will do anything for bestie Matilda, even though Natalie herself is in love with the groom. Stepping in for the bride during the church rehearsal is a bit too much though.
As the weekend plans turn upside down, the three women have a very different experience than expected.
Sweet and introspective, all three women need to look seriously at their lives and figure out if they stay on the path or take a step sideways. It’s not too late.
Three times the happy. My heart is content.
