William Blake, author and the husband of Christina Stead, the novelist, died Feb. 4 in London, where he lived, according to word received here yesterday. His age was 73. Mr. Blake's most recent work was We Are the Makers of Dreams, a story of Europe during the nineteen-thirties, published by Simon & Schuster in 1960. His other novels were The Painter and the Lady, The World Is Mine and The Copperheads. With his wife, he edited Modern Women in Love. - Place of death
