Pretty harrowing stuff, but completely engrossing. The true account of a womans quest for justice against her father who, in his 70's, admits (and subsequently denies) involvement in the disappearance of a young girl in the 1950s.
Police incompetence (or complicity?), denial, resistance and discouragement from family members, a picture of the real inadequacy of the law, and a psychic all make appearances as memories resurface and the true scale of her fathers deviancy emerges.
This is very show more personal first person account, told without sensationalism. And from the first page, it is a very difficult book to put down. show less

Scary. What happens when your father all but admits that he killed a contemporary of yours? That you start asking questions to find that a lot of things were quashed, including the fact that he molested a lot of children in the area.

Scary but enthraling!

Great read. Finished it in 1 day .I always hate when I finish a good book cause I have to start to decide which book to read next.

I still find it unbelievable how this story ended (won't spoil)
A moving true story. Incredile courage and detirmination.
