This is one of those books I've had for years. Picked it up at a school book fair and can't remember if I ever read it or not. It's been sitting with some other books from the same time period on a neglected shelf until recently.

But now I've gone back and read it, and it's a decent read for its age group. Part of a series, the story revolves around a group of kids that are part of a foster family, all with an interest in crime solving. This time, one of the kids finds himself in a Rear show more Window situation in which he's home sick and witnesses something strange through the telescope in his bedroom. The kids run with the first theory that comes to them and the game is afoot!

The mystery is clever and doesn't give itself away immediately to the reader, so I'd say it's worth a read. Adding this one to my Little Redd Book Barn for someone else to enjoy.
