A self-absorbed woman's life is a mess, at Christmas.

3/4 (Good).

The character's hard to empathize with for the first half of the movie, but once you get into the emotional stuff it's very strong. (For what it's worth, I waited to watch this until after I'd completely forgotten the trailer, so I didn't remember the twist, or even that there was a twist.)

Wham!'s breakthrough second album, featuring "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and "Careless Whisper."

3/4 (Good).

Fun. I'm not impressed with George Michael's inane songwriting, and his singing is worse, but his production here is great enough to carry the album.

Today’s selection from “1001 Albums You Must Listen To Before You Die” by Robert Dimery. 1990. George Michael's 2nd solo. He tried a change in style (less dance more ballads) which wasn't as popular as his previous "Faith" but a good record in my opinion. 'Only' 8 million sold.
