Reviews
This book of song lyrics will be of interest almost exclusivly to those already familiar with Robert Hunter's pen in musical collaboration with Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. When not exploring the mythos of the Old West Mr. Hunter is at his best presenting us with sublime visions of other worldly tableaux filtered through the lens of the psychedelic experience. Mr. Hunters use of nonsense rhyme and archaic language makes this book usefull in deciphering lyrics that may be difficult to show more discern while listening. A Box of Rain is a treasure chest for those of us captured by the spell of this remarkable music. show less
