This has some interesting circa 1970s era ideas for saving money on food. In particular, there are instructions for making soft cheese and yogurt. I carried it around for the diagrams of different meat cuts-- beef, calf, veal, lamb, and pork. It has two sections: one with commentary and general planting and harvest requirements, the other with reference charts. This book and How to Grow More Vegetables, by John Jeavons, are my two most consulted gardening books.
