A solid WWII history, which details the disastrous (for the Allies) bombing raid on Nuremberg and Nuremberg factories. The author references the RAF organizational chart continually and explores not only the details of the battle, but also the background and justification of bombing not just military targets but also the civilian population. German fighter tactics and types of planes and radar along with the differences between Lancaster, Halifax and Mosquito bombers and ME109 and Junkers show more are all in the mix. i learned quite a bit about this aspect of WWII and was pleased with the book, although Campbell's style is a bit dry and bogs down in organizational minutia. Again, I must mention the low quality of the mapping. show less
