Fredrik Lindström (1) (1963–)

It's been years since I read Fredrik Lindström's other short story collection - "What are all the unfamous people doing all the time?" - but I do remember liking it a lot. My fave short story was about a guy who just cannot see himself as a proper adult, and he is constantly "pretending" and amazed by all these other adult people around him, although he himself, of course, is only faking it. It kinda struck a chord.


(It's like this, basically)

This one - "When does the real life begin?" - I show more did like, although not as much as the last book. But then again it's been years since I read that one. It's just short stories about normal people thinking about mundane stuff, wondering when their real life will begin, and some of it is highly relateable, and some isn't. I particularly liked a story about a girl and her grandfather (which was really sweet compared to the rest of the book), and one with a mom taking her daughter to the park (which was kinda fucked up, but I still liked it).

Anyway, an enjoyable and quick read. show less

En lättläst novell samling om helt vanliga människor. Fredrik Lindström har iakttagit människor och skriver korta inblickar i deras liv som man lätt känner igen sig i.
Lättläst boksom man kan fördriva tiden med om man är trött och inte orkar tänka så mycket.
