A great, general overview of the Bible. It is a bit sparse in places, and certainly is not a comprehensive commentary. This was my textbook when I took Old Testament and New Testament class in college. Great as an introduction.

The Handbook is as an informative, exciting guide to the Bible in book- by- book order". The emphasis is on the Bibles content and meaning, brought to life by text, drawings and charts and maps giving help where it is needed. Concise, handy, helpful 384 pages. A reference book that is handy to have right next to your Bible.
The pictures recapture the way of life and events so graphically described in the Old. Testament. Inc. history, literature and environment of Bible Times. The value of some of the archaeological discoveries that were made over the last century.
Photographs of New Testament places to help ordinary people understand the Bible all the better for seeing it against its background.
