David W. Moore is a senior fellow at the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire and a former senior editor of the Gallup Poll. Small Town, Big Oil: The Untold Story of the Women Who Took on the Richest Man in the World―And Won by David W Moore
Heavily biased writing, slightly confusing timelines, but overall interesting description on how three women defeated Onassis and his plan for a refinery in Durham. They prevented significant change to the landscape I have grown to love, and they did it through perseverance and strategy - by arguing Home Rule.
If this were an essay, rather than a book, it would have gotten 4 stars. The argument is excellent, but once it's made, the mountain of additional evidence adds nothing.
