Although the format of this edition is little more than a bright new cover on a somewhat cleaned-up version of the old photocopy/facsimile of Green's original typesetting, the content is, as it always has been, pure gold for a string orchestra teacher. The first part of the book, as Green states "is fit for ... college level teaching of this subject", but the last chapter also deals with helping the teacher of younger students to distill the information in the earlier part of the book into show more material suitable for the middle school age student. show less
½
A decent reference book and good for learning conducting in the classroom this book is not for the self-taught conductor.
½
A college text on conducting based on the principles of Nicolai Malko as set forth in his The conductor and his baton
