Hands down, the best defense of an otherwise indefensible position. Well written and well-reasoned from a Van Tillian presuppositional apologetic line of reasoning. I disagree with it, but respect it as the best in its genre. It's worth the price of the book for its catalog of textual variants and their sources.
You gotta get through the first few chapters of this book... It starts out slow with a few chapters on the history of modernism, which is all setting the stage for the rest of the book. However, I would have liked if he had done it in one chapter (or maybe just a couple pages).
The rest of the book builds a defense for the Textus Receptus, from which was translated the King James Version of the Bible. Hills presents the arguments for why it should be used, and where there are difficulties and show more reason wouldn't point towards the KJV reading as being correct, he appeals to the "logic of faith."
It presents a very strong case for the use of the KJV over that of modern versions. You just have to get through the first few chapters to get it. show less

The King James version defended!: A space-age defense of the historic Christian faith (The new space age Christian libra by Edward F. Hills
Paperback with horrible cover graphics (original from 1956?). Hills was a graduate of Yale University and Westminster Theological Seminary. Th.M. from Columbia Seminary and Th.D. from Harvard University. Potent reasoning.
