A lovely fairy tale with more of the unsettling aspects of the original tales than the sugar-coated versions we are used to. The design by Brian Froud is marvelous and if you have ever read his books of Faeries, you will see the hand of the master in this movie. Leaves you feeling like wandering off to the world of the Goblin King to dance with him.

Wonderful muppets, terribly boring story. Story could have been much more skillfully written. OK acting and directing, great story idea, just terribly edited and written, stop and start, not a flowing story. David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly

Can't say as I cared for all the muppets but the storyline is good and David Bowie is the best as the Goblin King :-)
