After Cancer Treatment: Heal Faster, Better, Stronger (A Johns Hopkins Press Health Book) by Julie K. Silver
In the year since completing cancer treatment I would say half-jokingly to friends, "Cancer was easy, Living is hard." This book helps with the living after suffering the treatments for cancer that saved your life. Questions about regaining strength, eating healthy and embarking on a path of total health are answered straightforwardly. The author cites her personal experience as a cancer patient and her professional understanding as an MD who specializes in rehabilitation. Changing life show more habits that don't contribute to overall health are encouraged. The changes are broken down into manageable steps so whether you are trying to establish good eating habits or find balance at work, you will not be overwhelmed. Short of having a personal life coach, trainer, rehabilitation specialist of your own, I think this book is the best help I've found. show less
