Visual Function: An Introduction to Information Design by Paul Mijksenaar

Introduces his three point formula, "Reliability, Utility, Satisfaction" through this book, based on Roman Architect Vitruvius' "Firmitas, Utilitas, Veustas". Very much an overview, and quick reading, (though the layout is a visual minefield of images colliding through the path of the text, slowing down the flow of the book). Definitely not much more than an introduction, with good references, both visual and of texts and sources, for in-depth thinking.
