The photography, representing the best fro the vast photo collecion of the American Orchid Society, etc. Captioning is accurate 7 clear. Sheehan has spent his career educating horticulturists & it shows in this book. History, morphology, classification, & variability are presented with exceptional clarity.

A beautiful book, but not really for the beginner. This is a better fit for an intermediate grower, and a reader who is not thrown off by the lack of systematic arrangement of the genera.
